Screening / Red Flags Course
When patients present with symptoms after a head injury, safe and effective screening is critical. Symptoms such as headache, dizziness, neck pain, and cognitive changes may originate from the brain, cervical spine, vascular structures, or supporting ligaments. This course teaches clinicians how to perform a structured screening to identify red flags for cervical injury, ligamentous instability, vascular compromise, and brain injury. Autonomic Dysfunction: Sleep Post-Concussion Course
Sleep disturbances are common after concussion and can significantly affect recovery. This course provides clinicians with an evidence-informed overview of sleep dysfunction following concussion, including basic sleep phases, common causes of post-concussion sleep disruption, and the role of the glymphatic system in brain waste clearance. Participants will also learn practical sleep hygiene strategies and explore the use of blue light therapy for managing circadian rhythm phase shift disorders to help support patient recovery.
